I'm Benji. Over the past 11+ years I've worked with leading brands across the UAE and GCC, helping design websites, apps and digital products that solve real customer and business problems.
I enjoy taking complex ideas and turning them into experiences that feel simple, clear and easy to use. I work closely with product, technology and business teams because the best digital products are built together, not in isolation.
Every project starts with understanding the customer. Every design decision should have a clear purpose and help both the customer and the business.
Whether I'm designing something new or improving an existing product, I focus on creating experiences that are clear, simple and easy to understand. When people can quickly understand what to do, businesses usually see higher conversion, stronger loyalty and better long-term growth.
As AI search changes how people discover businesses, I'm adapting my approach so the digital experiences I design are easier for both people and AI to understand.
Turning business goals and customer needs into clear digital solutions that create better experiences and better business outcomes.
Designing websites, apps and digital products that are clear, simple and enjoyable to use from the very first interaction.
Reviewing digital experiences to uncover usability issues, reduce friction and improve conversion with clear, practical recommendations.
An eCommerce product designer makes online shopping easier for customers. They design websites and apps that help people find products, understand what they are buying and complete their order without confusion. This includes the homepage, navigation, search, product pages, basket and checkout. The goal is to create a better customer experience while helping the business improve conversion and sales.
Good eCommerce UX makes it easier for customers to shop. People should be able to find the right product, understand the details, trust the website and complete their order without problems. Poor UX can cause customers to leave, even when they like the product. A clear and simple shopping experience can improve conversion, customer satisfaction and repeat purchases.
Better UX removes friction that stops customers from buying. This could mean making navigation clearer, improving product information, simplifying forms or reducing the number of checkout steps. It can also help customers feel more confident about payment, delivery and returns. When shopping feels simple and trustworthy, more customers are likely to complete their purchase.
An eCommerce UX audit is a detailed review of an online shopping experience. It looks for problems that may confuse customers, slow them down or stop them from buying. This can include navigation, search, product pages, the basket, checkout, mobile design and page content. The final audit explains what should be improved and which changes are likely to have the biggest effect.
Yes. I design new eCommerce websites, apps and digital products from the start. This includes planning the customer journey, organising the content and creating the UX and UI design. I work closely with product, technology and business teams to make sure the final experience is clear, easy to use and supports the goals of the business.
Yes. I review existing websites and apps to find where customers may be struggling or leaving. I then improve the UX and UI to make the experience clearer, faster and easier to use. This can include small changes to key pages or a wider update across the full shopping journey. The work is always based on customer needs and business goals.
Yes. I led and designed a new checkout experience for the GUESS eCommerce websites in the Middle East. The old checkout had too many steps, limited address options and several problems that made it harder for customers to complete their order. The new one-page checkout delivered a reported 83% improvement in conversion during testing and was later used as a template for other brands.
I can help improve the full eCommerce customer journey. This includes the homepage, navigation, search, category pages, product pages, basket, checkout, account area and mobile experience. I also review content, forms, delivery information, payment choices and trust messages. The aim is to remove friction and make it easier for customers to buy.
I have designed digital experiences across fashion, beauty, electronics, furniture, lifestyle and loyalty. This includes work for brands such as GUESS, Jacquemus, Louis Vuitton, Tory Burch, Faces, Asteri Beauty, Christofle, Kiabi, Shaker Group, MOXZI, Ritmo Office, Innovation City and Union Electronics.
I have worked on eCommerce experiences built with Shopify, Magento and Salesforce Commerce Cloud, also known as SFCC. I also design and build websites using Webflow. My main focus is always the customer experience, but I understand that designs also need to work within the limits of the chosen platform and technology.
